Meet the Coaches
In 2015, shortly after moving to Colorado, Aaron joined his first CrossFit class as part of a New Year’s resolution and immediately fell in love. After a year of training as an athlete, Aaron earned his CrossFit Level 1 Certificate in 2016 and began coaching at the gym he attended. Watching people change their lives through CrossFit in turn changed Aaron’s life. This was when he realized that CrossFit was where he wanted to dedicate his time, and the dream of owning a CrossFit gym was born. In 2018, he joined Mike and Sophia to open All American Fitness.
Prior to opening All AmericanFitness, Aaron served in the Army as a UH-60 helicopter repairer and was stationed in Hawaii with the 25th Infantry Division. He served in Afghanistan from 2004-2005 as a part of Operation Enduring Freedom. After his enlistment ended, he earned his BS in Construction Management from the University of Cincinnati.
I am a CrossFit junkie from Colorado with a Level-1 certification. Like any true mountain-state resident, I love using my fitness to take on a variety of outdoor pursuits like skiing, hiking, and drinking beer on patios. I first learned about CrossFit while I was in college at Montana State University. I had joined a weightlifting club with my friends where we learned the Olympic lifts and did short metcon style workouts that involved a lot of burpees and pull-ups. For the first time since quitting competitive gymnastics I had found a sport that I loved! CrossFit was making me healthy and strong, and I got to show up to a gym full of friends and and great coaches every time I went to workout. In 2018 I decided to obtain my Level-1 coaching certification so that I could share the joy of this journey towards health with others.
I’ve been coaching for 8 years. Ranging from CrossFit and youth athletic performance, to soft tissue and rehabilitative work; I’ve worked with people of all fitness levels. That being said, CrossFit has always been my favorite style of training – something about being exceptional at everything appeals to me.
Prior to coaching and CrossFit, I played soccer competitively – earning a spot on the roster at University of Notre Dame, before having my career cut short due to injury. I found CrossFit shortly after that. I love to compete, and I live for the mental battles. Better every day is the motto.
